Why isn't this material sealed?

I ordered reef code A and B. Both bottles were unsealed and leaked. They were double bagged so I'm guessing they must have been leaking.

Pros
  • Contains no phosphates, silicates or organic materials; Made in USA
Cons
  • Not bad but...

great product for aquarium water treatment

Brightwell is a great product, for a reef aquarium they only use their products and it is a great price for their product and the last few months in mine 55 gallon tank. a lot for your money

Pros
  • Makes it easier to maintain calcium and alkalinity in your tank
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Bottle without OVP

Package was late but arrived on time. The bottle was in a plastic bag and the box was labeled accordingly. Big disappointment that the bottle wasn't factory sealed. As I took the bottle out of the bag, I noticed that the white seal was not attached to the bottle; it was at the top.

Pros
  • Carbonate-containing component of the two-component dosing process for calcium and carbonates in the same ratio as in natural seawater; to be used in combination with Reef Code A
Cons
  • Good but not great

I had to adjust my aquarium's daily dose within a week and eventually it stabilized. Keep in mind that taking GFO will require more doses of this supplement since the granular iron oxide reduces alkalinity. My GFO reactor has been scrapped so I'm using less Alk/dKH supplements. I have a lot of…
