Very comfortable with good energy return.

Doesn't work for me. I use these shoes to run 5-6 miles on pavement, gravel and fields. These shoes are very comfortable, fit well and offer good cushioning.

Pros
  • HIGH PERFORMANCE IN ALL ENVIRONMENTS: The TPU mudguard keeps debris out on the trail, while drainage slots drain water so feet can dry faster. Internal suede reinforcement keeps foot in place and keeps dirt out.
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Definitely NOT for technical tracks!

I've run in several pairs/brands/styles of trail running shoes. They are great for smooth gravel/gravel trails. However, once you hit technical trails with big rocks, rough terrain, and roots, this shoe becomes quite unstable and your feet will suffer.

Pros
  • CUSHION AND COMFORT: New DNA FLASH midsole compound incorporates nitrogen for ultra-lightweight cushioning and adaptive energy return.
Cons
  • It's OK

Very good trail running shoe in Brooks quality.

Very comfortable, soft and light. My 11.5 men's US seem to be slightly longer at the top than my Ghost 12 and 13 road shoes, but they seem to be the same length side by side so it might just be my imagination, I didn't feel any difference in my first run. . So far very satisfied.

Pros
  • THESE MEN'S SHOES ARE DESIGNED FOR: Trail runners. With ultra-light and responsive cushioning and a high-traction outsole, the Catamount is designed to go faster and farther on the trails.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Preferred running shoes are street or trail.

I've run nearly 300 miles on trails in the Colorado Front Range and Rocky Mountain and for the terrain we're seeing it's almost the perfect shoe. I've run on dry, hard ground, dust, gravel, rocks and snow and they handled it all with ease and stayed comfortable for distances of up to 20 miles - I wouldn't hesitate to run 50km or more in them. . At 300 miles they are holding up well and I have no doubt they will do at least 200 more miles. The only caveat I would make is that they aren't very…

Pros
  • Rubber outsole
Cons
  • Not bad
