Very good bike rack, reasonable price compared to others.

Bought for 2006 Cayenne. There are no problems with assembly and fastening. Of course you need a towing eye. The stand is solid and solid. I have the two bike version. Adjustable for all sizes and types of bikes. The soft braces are easily soiled with bicycle paint. Folds up nicely when not in use. The tilt function to open the tailgate works when folded or with the bike on the luggage rack. The coupling pin is a screw-in pin to prevent the frame from swaying. They provide a basic wrench, keep…

Pros
  • Reclining design. The rear-tilting design allows users to open the tailgate without disconnecting the hitch post.
Cons
  • There are problems

Survived a month-long journey.

A month long cross-country ride! You can still open the trunk. It did not disappoint in that regard. I really liked this feature. And the initial setup was pretty easy! - That's why I give the whole rating 4 stars because, as already mentioned in other reviews, the wobbling/wobbling on it. At first there was no hesitation. Super durable, really sturdy and felt safe. But about halfway through our ride, there was actually quite a bit of hesitation and a lot of awkward noises coming from the bike…

Pros
  • Bike Compatibility - For bikes up to 35 pounds each and a maximum tire width of 3 inches (not for bikes with fat tires)
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Issues with 1 1/4 " receiver

Please see the reasons for the poor rating below. The quality is good, delivery and packaging are also great, and the product generally makes a solid impression. Communication with the seller is terrible, they never answered me. I had a problem installing on a 1 1/4 inch hitch receiver. I removed the 2" adapter per the manufacturer's instructions to use 1 1/4", the post just didn't go all the way in. Locking pin, it's too tight, I used lube and a rubber mallet to get it halfway. I use the hitch

Pros
  • Tablet hinges and soft mounts. The padded mounts not only keep the bike securely in place, but also protect it from scratches.
Cons
  • Functionality

Inexpensive, sturdy rack, but be careful not to chafe the bikes' top tubes.

At first I was very happy with this rack as it seems very strong, holds the bikes very well and was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately I had problems the first time I used the rack. I mounted it on the back of our trailer and took two mountain bikes with me. The trailer mount is specially designed for these carriers and is very well attached to the trailer frame. On the 375-mile trip from Colorado to Utah, I noticed that the bikes bounced significantly when we hit bumps at highway…

Pros
  • Protective reflector. This pillar includes a rear safety reflector that improves visibility and ensures driving safety at night.
Cons
  • Clarity
