Extremely easy to install

Very satisfied with the product. The shock absorbers on my SnugTop body failed and I bought them to replace. Both took less than 5 minutes to install and the glass door no longer falls on my head. Happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend.

Perfect, works great

Good price, product was easy to install. It took me about 10 minutes to uninstall the old ones and install the new ones. Make sure you measure the required dimensions. Two measurements 1.) extended and 2.) collapsed positions. You also need to know the resistance in pounds. The product was mounted on a weatherproof tool box. Where does the lid need to be lifted when unlocked and held open.

Good replacement for OEM lift

OEM lifts are old and some have no pressure. After a thorough OEM evaluation, on August 30th I ordered two of these for a trial fit. I had to estimate pounds of pressure or drag because I have no idea what OEM elevators are. They fit snugly but are larger in diameter than the OEM lift. Rated for 40 pounds? Work the way you should. I have ordered three more sets of the same size for other hatch doors. The application is the side doors of the Winnebago hatch into the RV basement.

and they were excellent. I recommend

This is actually my third order. My first was over 5 years ago and they were a direct replacement for my truck cover. Over time they got tired and I ordered a replacement. Unfortunately the 2nd set (order) fell out of the shipping tube so the USPS shipped and scanned the empty tube. There are no elevators. I contacted the seller and he credited me the money for the purchase. I then reordered and received this set (3rd order) and they were excellent. I highly recommend.

Job as advertised but £40 was too much for my DIY project

Tried to use this for a 3ft x 6ft framed lid on an enclosed DIY raised bed. It was too strong and the lid not only wouldn't close, but twisted. It was all my fault. I've bought 28lb Suspa racks of the same length and they work great (https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2JO3VZEVTOQ2B?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp). I decided to keep these 40 lb racks as I might need them for another project one day.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Works just as well as original parts.

I have a 1st generation Toyota Tacoma. The truck was originally purchased with a SNUG TOP RV body. I had to replace the original pillars holding the rear window. It was quite difficult to find original parts with a good top. As a top addict, it seems I turned to Amazon for a cure. I tried these racks and they fit perfectly. The original tight top was C16-21704. These posts are strong enough to hold the rear window of the RV hull. Be careful first, the jambs are strong enough to knock your teeth

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Works well with the back door of my camper trunk, Leer

These 40lb air springs work great with the top glass door of my camper trunk, Leer. The previous owner had retrofittable 40lb and 30lb models installed which worked fine for a few years but then they failed to hold the glass in the cold weather last year. After the glasses fell on my head, I figured it was time to change them. These 2.40 pound attachments snap directly onto the balls on the RV's body and door, perfectly holding the door. I'm not used to air springs working so well that I had to

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Stronger than an empty motorhome, but works well

The supports on my empty body wear out after 10 years and need to be replaced. These racks were recommended, although they were much stronger than the old ones I replaced (stock empty racks were 28lbs, these are 40lbs per rack). Installation was extremely easy, literally taking less than 30 seconds and broke instantly. At first I was in doubt as to how hard I had to pull to open the rear window with the panes attached, but after a day or two they seemed to break (or I'm just used to very strong
