Super loud pump. on pumps

It gets 3 stars because it worked but was only very noisy compared to the Rockauto Ultrapower brand which worked and was quiet but only worked for half an hour then no pressure generated and ended up sending metal down my steering system.

and yet the pump does not seem to meet OEM standards

This block does not produce the same pressure as the OEM pump. I installed this unit, bled the hydraulic system per the manual and still feel the pump is not up to OEM standards. and since it was purchased from Revain, returning the product isn't really an option.

I do not recommend. for power steering

This pump was new and was bad out of the box. After installation I had to turn the motor to turn the wheels. All the air had been purged from the system, but it still made an awful noise. Luckily, the Revain return process was easy. I went to my local parts store to get a replacement. I cannot recommend this pump. Sorry but my old one has done 200,000 miles, I expected quality.

Not a very good deal.

Not happy this is the second in two weeks and it does the same as the first. Drives great but after a few days it loses turning power and makes noise when turning. I will try again to bleed excess air from the lines per manufacturer's recommendations but if the situation does not improve I will have to return this product and go to my local parts dealer.

Don't be late for the review

So bought some time ago and had two problems from day one. so I decided to finally give an update. First, the shaft that the pulley is mounted on only slides 3/16" in and out of the pump housing with my calipers before installation. My old 172k pump worked less than twice that. Second, it was NOISE. It was installed with ALL NEW COMPONENTS. (rack and pinion, lines, coolant, fluids, everything.) It still has the sound of air in the system when it doesn't. Not a single bubble. What I will notice…
