Gets hot but good for computers and accessories

The device seems to work as advertised, I need a powered hub as a number of different devices work better that way. Card readers and USBs are fast enough, but I've found that leaving USB flash drives plugged in for more than a few minutes gets *very* hot. The device itself seems fine. Lost 1.5 stars because I can't keep things plugged in, lost 0.5 stars because the base doesn't have a proper grip and the device slides across my desk.

Broke after 2 weeks of use (I ordered 10!)

This is a terrible product - basically a scam. I ordered 10 of these for a professional office. I tested one of these and it worked great on both MAC and PC. I ordered 9 more, all fitted, they look very nice. Half of them dropped out within 2 weeks. The computers no longer recognized the connected devices. Light bulbs stopped working on 3 devices. Our IT team tried replacing the power supply and cables - nothing helped. It was a device error. ALL 10 REFUSED COMPLETELY within 2 weeks. It is…

I couldn't get it. to USB hubs

About a month later I had problems with the connection between the device and my computer. The computer read the flash drives connected to the hub and turned off after a few minutes, although everything was connected correctly. I took the hub off my desk for about two months. When I needed it again, it was dead. The product has good reviews, maybe I caught a broken hub.

Robust construction, good transfer rate and no interference.

As a recent iMac user, I'm all too familiar with the awkward nature of USB 3.0 hubs/devices and how they interfere with Bluetooth since newer iMacs use Bluetooth for the keyboard and mouse. The main thing I'm currently looking for in USB 3.0 hubs and enclosures is the ability to disconnect (and swap out if necessary) the USB cable. I bought this hub because it has a detachable cable and also because the cable that came with it looked pretty thick so I figured it might be well protected…
