The switch should turn on the plug, not the display.

I don't like that they don't provide power when starting the car. You have to turn them on with a button every time you use them. I can see this being useful for some situations, but not all.

They are great for adding USB outlets.

These work great for my Mercedes Sprinter camper van, unfortunately it only had 1 USB socket so I added 2 more using these easy to install sockets. They feature a live digital voltage display, a standard USB outlet and a C-USB power delivery outlet. Each device comes with a pigtail. Also included is a perfectly sized hole saw for these sockets.

Useful product

Recently I had experience with several versions of it. All are about the same - excellent (but not outstanding) quality, easy installation and good job. What sets this kit apart is USB-C connectivity and the fact that it's the only kit that comes with a hole saw for your drill. A big plus if you don't already have it as it is very important that you use it for professional results. Very good.

Adds functionality to my RV's design

I have two spots in my RV's bedroom that were part of an original pair of VERY dated night lights. I don't really need bedside lamps at this point, but I do have the option to install useful 12V accessories *or USB* there. I was thinking about installing these Dual USB 12v 2 Pack, PD 48W Type C and QC 3.0 Quick Charger car chargers and using USB accessories. The hole saw worked well to enlarge the existing hole a bit. Everything you need for installation is included, USB switch saves battery life, a little hassle with unplugging.

A good set of two USB sockets. The package contains more than what you usually get. You also get two sets of two spade crimp connectors, two sets of fusible wires with ring connectors and flat connectors. As an added bonus, you also get a hole saw to install them.
