This is the second time I have bought this comb. I made my first purchase after learning that Ace Pocket & Purse combs that were made in the US from hard rubber are now made in China from brittle plastic and now have sharp teeth that break easily. I don't know if these Clippermate combs are actually made in the USA (the listing says they are) but the polypropylene construction definitely lasts longer than the new Ace brushes and the teeth are gentler on the scalp. Sharper teeth than I hoped looks long lasting

I'm a bit disappointed that they have sharper teeth than I would like. I have sensitive scalp and this is unacceptable. They are much sharper than the old Ace rubber combs. I gave them three stars because they aren't as sharp as some of the cheap combs and they seem durable, but I haven't used them long enough to be able to tell. Now I'm spending my extra cash on a Kent or similar and regret never having bought one. Not sure about other positive reviews about sharp teeth but for me it's a waste

Looks like an old rubber comb

I don't know if it's really rubber but it feels like an old pocket comb that will last forever. Having had the comb for more years than I can remember after it finally broke, the last pair lost a few teeth a few months later. So I'm hoping this one is more like the old combs, although I'm actually getting used to the feel of the new combs.
