This fork blade works great. I was very surprised at the quality of the cutter given the price. I've seen some for hundreds of dollars that can't compete with this product.
Bought to make 2" dowels to glue into 2" holes (yes!) in contrasting timbers. The fit had to be very snug for this to work in my application and this cutter did not disappoint and the fit was perfect. I haven't read enough to understand that a 5/8" pickup is required. So keep that in mind.
The 5/8" shank on this tool was a real problem . Trying to find a drill or drill that could handle it was a real problem. Many drill bits say 5/8" but don't expand enough to handle that shank. Eventually I was able to find a drill at Harbor Freight that could handle it, but the drill couldn't provide enough torque to cut through the wood. Even with the slightest possible down pressure, the drill's belts slipped and I ended up using a screwdriver through the hole to turn it by hand to create the
