Plastic triangular bar is scrap

I'm not impressed. Sounds like a good idea, but the plastic triangular guide is a HUM. Broke with minimal use. If the manufacturer could make a stronger triangular rail, I might give it another try. I'm not sure if changing the guides will solve the problem. Given the chance of ruining a job or laminate project, I don't want to give this plastic-guided racket a second chance. I'll stay with the steel camp. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Super heavy steel protective orange non-stick coating
Cons
  • fading

The scrap has one bearing and jams right away

Triangle bearing broke 30 seconds after my first bearing, supposedly solved sticking problem caused by contact cement makes Joking they just put this triangular piece of plastic on top of the bearing, the bearing seized up almost immediately and the triangular piece fell off here is the bearing and it's just slip it's junk don't buy it if it blew away, it ruined a countertop I was making, it cost me $200 in materials and two weeks to reorder, and upset customers.

Pros
  • 1/2" cut diameter, 2-9/64" long Perfect for plastic and aluminum laminates
Cons
  • Large and bulky

If you work with laminate you must have this bit!

This is a great finish for laminate floors. While not a contractor I have done quite a bit of laminate work and found this to be the best yet. A couple of suggestions. First, if you want a straight, non-tapered edge, you must be careful to lengthen the drill as little as possible. The further you go past the camp, the greater the taper becomes. Second, it seems easiest to run this bit close to the material so the bearing doesn't run at full speed. Since it is a triangular bearing, if you start…

Pros
  • 2 SinterHip Hi-Density Chrome Carbide Industrial Cutting Edges
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging
