Compared to the Access HD model, the Coby model is Heaven

. Has HD Access. It was so poorly made, looked cheap, and got so hot it burned my skin. I even had to turn it off after each use, then I had to reprogram it to receive channels each time. There was no sadness when he stopped working. Did some research online and ordered a Coby ATSC DTV102 standard definition converter. Looks great, doesn't get hot and works like a charm. I am still unhappy with the analog to digital switch as all my TVs work great but are not digital and require boxes. But the…

The order arrived on time, I postponed it for a few weeks until I had time to install the converter box. When I finally tried to install it, I found that the box looked like it had already been opened and sloppily glued together. There was also no English manual, which is a shame because that's the only language I speak. I was only able to connect everything based on the pictures, but the cheap remote that came with it interferes with my Sanyo TV remote. It also sucks because you have to use…

DTV Converter Box Good Good by COBY

Converter boxes will be in short supply in the coming months. Favorite brands were sold out at Revain so we grabbed those. ALLOWS analog passthrough. It has a menu option to set the time zone, but no option to turn off daylight saving time, which can be an issue in Arizona. The program guide will only guide ONE program ahead (some brands advance 3-4 hours).
