When I got my Bose Color I also bought a charger, it was pretty much useless without the ability to charge. I always had to fiddle with it to really charge and then stop working together. I didn't want to make this purchase because there were so many bad battery life reviews. Having owned this speaker for a few months and taking it with me on vacation I have to say that it is more than enough. Great device. To be honest, I haven't had any issues with battery life or anything like that. I see a lot of feedback that the speaker "doesn't last as many hours as it says it does". This is a portable speaker. It's not designed to play at full volume and full light show for hours on end.

Daring to suspect that the problem was in the cable itself, connected to the back of the speaker rather than the speaker, I bought this cable. It works great and was fully charged in a couple of hours by plugging into the Bose outlet that came with the speaker. Now the speaker works great. The cable fits snugly on the back of the speaker, unlike the original. Very happy!

I couldn't charge my Bose portable speaker that I've used for many years and didn't see what was wrong with it. I noticed that the old charging cable was a poor fit and the system was struggling to make a good connection for charging. I had a similar shape and matching cable that I tried and the speaker seemed to charge but then didn't work. I found this cable and saw the part number compatibility with my Bose speaker so decided to give it a try. It worked great and my Bose can be recharged and
