I bought this 1875W Conair Ion Shine Dual Voltage Compact Foldable Hair Dryer and it's very good compact foldable performance is very good dries hair fast just fine except for one thing: The cord is all 3 feet long and it's annoying.SK

I had an earlier version of the same hair dryer about 10 years ago, until recently the fan started rubbing the case too loudly. I'm so glad Conair kept this model as it's very light, has a very well designed comfortable grip and most importantly to me it's relative compared to all similar (compact) hair dryers I use is quiet. I have tried; in height it is about 80 dB from 12 inches. Oh, and I also like the foldable handle so it can easily fit into small spaces.

I have been using this hair dryer model for many years because of its performance. The low setting is certainly the quietest, but even the high setting is a lot quieter than other dryers I've tried. Other models I've tried sound like jet engines. It has both low, high and cold settings. The folding handle is good but the device is larger than what I would use for travel.
