Works great with my Uniden R3. The cable that came with the detector, a six foot twisted pair, was MUCH too short as my car's outlet is not where the cigarette lighter would have been but in the center console storage compartment. I haven't adjusted the wire to be less annoying yet, but I'm more of a cable as it's very thin and certainly long enough without the spiral design.

I have had the same Beltronics Radar Detector for several years and it still works great. I was surprised to learn that even newer radar detectors still use cables with a modular phone jack plugged into the box and a cigarette lighter plug on the other end. In my new car, the "cigarette lighter" socket is in the console between the front seats, not in the dash, which makes the original coiled cord too short. This cable is straight, long and as thin as a standard USB cable. Great article.

I received the one in the photo on 08/25/2020. I tried another rolled up one, wish I'd put it back in the window because it only had two tiny bars to hold it in place and it fell out every time I accelerated. I would sell it in my online shop but I would have to reveal why and how much I hate it so I can just throw it away. THAT'S GREAT! Has lots of surface area on little spring loaded pins so it fits your car really snugly, feels solid and can hang my bluetooth headphones on it without falling
