💨 Optimized DeVilbiss QC3 Air Filter and Dryer for Enhanced Performance Review

Looks like a Chinese fake I saw at Eastwoods. Generally it worked for about a week but not for long when there is water in the lines. I have a 50ft pipe coming from the compressor with 2 water separators, then a dry filter in fairly high humidity and I am getting a lot of water in the line.

I use DA grinders, needle scalers and a CNC plasma. Water used to come out of the end of the pipe all the time. Not with this animal. This is BIG and BAD (good) removal of water from the air. Replacement cartridges are $50 each, which I think is pricey. But hey, you get what you pay for! Highly recommended filter

Pretty good machine for the price! I've had it for about a month now, I've connected it downstream of a moisture separator that I've built with my own hands from various projects on the internet, so far no moisture is visible on the instruments. It was easy to install, it seems changing the filter will be easy too and it looks very well built. This is the perfect drying system for my application, a small workshop. The system has three stages to capture and retain oil, water and moisture. It includes a good regulator, pressure gauge and shut-off valve. If your system is properly connected, it will work properly. It's easy to maintain and lets you know when it's time to replace the desiccant. I can spray paint and operate my air tools without worrying about moisture damaging them and contamination from my air source ruining my finish.

The reason I bought this was because I needed a small gasket/vent screw that goes into the floor and I couldn't order this part from anyone. The bowl is aluminum, so imagine filling it with water and dissimilar metals attached to it. If you know anything, you know this is a recipe for disaster, which happened to me.
