Time will tell the best in hand tools

The first stone I received lost all of its diamond coating after about 15 minutes of light use and became unusable soon after. I decided to give it another try and decided to exchange it for another new stone instead. The second stone has survived 10 sharpening sessions and is still covered in diamond dust. Because of its size, it could also be used for the KME sharpening system.

Pros
  • Tools and Household Products
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Prize

4 " is good, 6 " is better.

Less than desirable. I have a 6" Coarse or D6C, I think the size is much preferable to the smaller 4". not a total loss of purchase, you just need to be more careful with your blade due to the reduced surface area, especially if you're like me and have big fat hands and fingers. Smooth nickel side smooth at least 6 inches had 4 adhesive gel dots to attach to the corners of the smooth nickel side and can be placed on a variety of surfaces without slipping.

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Available in white only

(Micro)diamonds are the best friend of sharp blade fanatics

Whatever you use for sharpening, if it's not a micro diamond sharpener, preferably DMT all-metal sharpeners like this one, make it harder on yourself than necessary. Buy this. Or you have more $ than me but bigger; less $ smaller. The more the merrier, but any method is better than any other method. You don't have to smooth the stone or spend a million dollars on maybe a synthetic Japanese water stone. I like Arkansas stones but they need oil but these don't. Seriously, just stop making…

Pros
  • Whetstones
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
