I ordered a 5.5 jack socket and adapter but received a version with a wired connector and adapter. I could do this by cutting the power cords BUT I paid an extra $3 for the plug version. I think I'll return it without trying.

No instructions. It's pretty obvious what the input (3.5mm stereo jack) is and what the output is (two sets of screw terminals), but what are the white-coated pins for? One has a sweater, the other doesn't. I will update my review after further testing.

Comes exactly as it looks. :- The auxiliary socket is too close to the power supply. Auxiliary cables with large heads cannot be assembled with such a small gap. Overall this is exactly what I need and I also see the possibility of using it for future projects!
