Works well on 8N Ford tractors

Matches well with original Ford tractor antique gauges and is accurate. I added a hole in the dash and hooked up a pressure gauge through the drain plug on the engine block.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I won't tell

No accuracy on lighting and power

The sensor I received does not show accurate information after installation. 130 and 190 marks. Even though there are multiple adapters in the package, the size of the adapter I need doesn't fit. I don't think they can cover all applications.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Operating speed

Good sensor and sensor / bad guide

The only reason it got 4 was the guide. The single sheet view covers all applications. Attached a gauge to the dash and routed the gauge tube to the coolant fitting on the engine block. Luckily I found a large bushing to lead into the engine bay. I haven't figured out what the U-Bracket is for yet, probably for another application.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Good quality - easy to install

This is a good, high quality sensor. Before installing it, I tested it by immersing the probe in boiling water - it was very accurate. The pipe length was perfect for my needs on an old Toyota truck that had a stock temp sensor that had stopped working and could not be repaired without disassembling the dash. I was very careful not to damage the pipe during installation and it works great. The sensor is very easy to read from a distance.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some flaws

Not suitable for outdoor/off-road vehicles.

Not for outdoor/off-road use. Works well, seems accurate compared to my infrared thermometer and easy to install but it's on a tractor and when I first used it in light rain the sensor was pretty bad at drawing condensation. It's my fault for not doing my research. Next time I will invest in a sea class. Oh, be careful not to kink the cable on these sensors! This causes them not to work. Wrap the excess in loose loops and secure with invisible zip ties.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concealable

Well, while it lasted. died 10 months later.

*Update: crashed after about 10 months. The arrow on the manometer does not even move in the cold. Tried to dip the sensor in boiling water and nothing. Connection rating up to 1 star. I was hoping that a non-electrical sensor would be more reliable, now I have to disassemble the entire dash to remove the old sensor instead of just replacing the sensor. First review: I just installed this sensor and am very happy with it. It was not clear from the product description how all the parts fit…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
