This hour meter was easy to install. You wrap the wire around the spark plug wire, secure it with the included tape, and route it to where you want the gauge. The other end of the cable is inserted into the slot in the meter. Did! That's all. I sealed mine with double stick tape.

I just followed the instructions and put it on my new generator. According to the instructions, you must operate this type of generator for the first time within 3 hours. So I tied the hour meter to the spark plug cap, started the generator, used my phone as a backup timer and it started timing after about 6-7 minutes. Nice little purchase from Revain!

This was another product I tried due to the low price but doubted it would work. But it works great. It bounces in the dirt and dust on my lawnmower and accurately measures the hours of use. This is a great product at a very low price. All you have to do is wrap the wire around the spark plug wire and find a place to hang or lay it down. That's all. It constantly displays the number of hours the engine has been running, regardless of whether it is switched on or not.

I only ordered two of these at first and fitted them to my line trimmer and backpack blower a few weeks ago. I measured both and after 18 minutes it was 0.3 hours. I've got a little over 4 hours on a trimmer set at the moment and it seems to be holding up well. The only downside is that the top is separate from the base because I didn't use screws so I zipped them together. I just ordered another one to hook up to my generator and it works great.

Bought one for my alternator and one for my road bike with no dash or display so I can keep track of oil change intervals. Installation is easy if you can find a good way to route the wire. Velcro is a good attachment option to avoid drilling. Only used a few hours, but so far so good. The hourglass to the left of the display starts flashing as soon as a signal arrives, so you don't have to wait 6 minutes for the first 0.1 interval to make sure it's working.
