These things are great. I feed it to raspberries.

These things are great. I'm using it to power a Raspberry Pi 3 with two 18650s and I've had no low voltage issues even with multiple USB devices connected. Many or other of my 2A USB chargers weren't powerful enough to power it. The only problem is that the indicator doesn't turn red at 3.6V and I haven't seen it turn red yet. I will do some tests to see at what voltage it changes. You may need to use a liposuction protection circuit to ensure your batteries don't run out. If you use alkaline…

Ideal for stable platforms and USB connections.

Worked fantastic. Unfortunately, one of the main downsides I've found is that it's not great for some DIY jobs. The main reason is that the + and - contacts are very close together. I accidentally fried mine :S . The description even mentions adding your own reverse polarity protection diode, which of course I didn't realize beforehand. I also wish there was a dedicated + and - output pad instead of the USB port. Because of this, I decided to try these Pololu converters I came across. They even

Insufficient current draw for fast charging but otherwise works fine

At first I had problems with this converter. When I first tried to connect my phone to it, my circuit kept turning off. At some point I realized that my phone was drawing too much current for the converter. On my phone, I was able to fix this by going into battery settings and disabling fast charging, which caused the phone to only draw 1 amp from the charger, albeit at a slower rate. Other than that, the rest of this charging circuit is built pretty well. . I tested its output at 5.17V which…

2 AMP 5 volt boost goodness

This module is so handy and useful that I had to order another one. I first ordered it for the Altoid Solar USB Charger. It boosted the current to 5 volts and was powerful enough to draw 2 amps and quickly charge my flagship phone. I then used it with two of my parallel connected window solar panels rated at 6 volts 583mA and it also boosted the voltage when the sun wasn't at its highest (5V 1A) and it didn't fail when it was exposed to 6.15V then I used it with a pair of 18650s to build a…

Works but needs improvement.

LED did not turn red at 3.6V as described during testing. The LED turned red when the battery voltage was about 2.6V, so there is a typo in the description. So far I've only gotten 63% battery on a single LG 18650 cell when charging a Samsung Galaxy S5. Not bad, but not great either. The charge was done with the phone off, so probably 50-60% of the charge with the phone on. If you want to power phones like the Samsung Galaxy S5, you need a 2A board. Version 1A just doesn't fit. The only thing I
