The quality does not correspond to the original filter. It fits, that's all I can say. I will return to the original soon.

I've made a few of these and they work great. I change them every few months although I know I can wash them. Please ask, does this white teflon ring go up or down? I can't get an answer from Google OR Duckduckgo. I'm pretty sure the original Dyson filter has the larger of the two plastic rims sticking up. It has no relief, no "salad bowl" effect on the side where there is a white Teflon/Kevex ring. GRATITUDE!

I had no idea how effective a filter change would be. I washed the filter as Dyson recommended, but I use my vacuum almost every other day as I have a lot of dust and pet hair. I thought the motor had failed but I actually noticed a difference in performance by replacing the filter with a new one. Try it and see if there is a difference. By the way, there wasn't much difference in price between buying from this seller and buying directly from Dyson. Thank you Revane Prime!

Junk - this status means the filter is NEW. It's a handcrafted piece of junk that looks like it was hot glued together. When I opened the package a piece of nylon was ripped off an area that looked like hot glue as if it was a refurbished product. I just stuck it in and tried to put it in my vacuum and turned it on to vacuum. Since after cleaning the floor I felt like everything was fine, I checked the filter and found that it is very hot.
