🧹 High-Quality Pre-Motor Filter Compatible with Dyson DC05, DC08, DC14, DC15 - Part # 90540101, 905401-01 Review

This filter was just what I needed. The old one was clogged with dirt and a build up of carpet wool. After carefully washing the original filter by hand, I found that it needed to be replaced as it was falling apart. So I ordered a new one from Revain and it was so easy to replace. Works perfectly!

The yellow plastic part didn't fit my Dyson Animal DC-14. The yellow plastic part was too high and the lid would not close. I have however decided to take the blue sponge part and put it in my old yellow plastic filter, put it back in and just use it as is rather than messing around with returns. But I won't buy it again.

This filter is advertised as compatible with D14, D15 etc. It may fit some models but not the D14 I bought it for. The original piece measures just over 6 inches in diameter. This one is only [i]smaller[/i] six inches, and the 1/16 inch difference is significant. Because the cylindrical skirt of the non-genuine part is too small, it does not fully seat in the vacuum grooves and therefore the lid cannot be closed and locked.

I liked the fast shipping. I finally found a Dyson maintenance book that was lost 11 years ago. After checking, the filter turned into dust after washing. I liked the fact that while Dyson no longer stocks filters, others have inventory because ball vacuums still work. Without Revain I would have trouble finding filters. Also, I found that there are many spare parts for the Dyson D15 vacuum cleaner.
