Worst Support I've Ever Experienced

This item has received mostly good reviews; This isn't one of them. The installation failed repeatedly, the process was blocked at the "Installing Cisco EAP-FAST" stage. This is frustrating, as is the fact that the CD that came with the product was unreadable. As is the fact that the website leaves a lot to be desired. Problems after waking up from hibernation in Windows 10

This thing works great until you hibernate Windows 10 Super fast speeds when it works but every time my system wakes up it works the device anymore. I've been in IT for over 13 years so I'm familiar with these things and generally how to set them up. I disabled all power management options on the device and in Windows. When the system wakes up I have to either unplug and plug it back in or disable/enable it in Network Connections. It works right back, but it's just frustrating that I have to do

Avoid if speed or Windows 10 compatibility is important to you

Connected to a new computer with a clean install of Windows 10. Detected and working. However, the maximum speed was around 2 Mbit/s. Other AC1750s nearby are returning over 200 Mbps to my router. I searched for a new driver at Edimax. They had one that was newer than the standard Windows driver, but it was still a few years old. I installed that, rebooted and now the drivers won't start (Error 10). Tried uninstalling and reloading the default drivers with a simple device manager. Tried theโ€ฆ

Cannot connect to channel 49 or higher on 5GHz.

I bought this to use on my MSI GE62VR gaming laptop, the internal Intel WiFi could only hold 867MB. Perfect for gaming but not for huge files over 20GB that I move around my home network. So I bought this adapter and now I can connect to 1.3GB (aka 1300MB). But why three stars? Because it can only connect to 5GHz networks on channel 48 or below. Any higher channel can't see the network in Windows 10 or Ubuntu 18.04, and if you manually force it to try to connect, you just get a "connectionโ€ฆ

Advertised at 1300 Mbps but that's a lie. Good product, not as fast as advertised.

If you are reading this review, you probably have the same or a similar problem as me. Speeds are not as advertised. They advertise speeds of up to 1300Mbps with 3 spatial streams in Wireless AC. Well I work in the wireless industry and use these devices for surveying, they work great for the price but they don't support the advertised speeds. If you look at the pictures I've attached, it turns out that this particular model, EW-7833UAC or Edimax AC1750, doesn't have a bandwidth of 1300 Mbpsโ€ฆ

I bought an Edimax EW-7833UAC AC1750 Dual Band USB WiFi Adapter. I have two issues with this product: speed and Linux support. Since speed is more important to most people, I'll talk about that first. This map is very rough. After installing and configuring the drivers in Windows, I noticed that my downloads were slowing down to a bare minimum and websites were taking a very long time to load.
