For older 2 cylinder bikes

Fit this to a 1980 kz750 2 cylinder chopper I just built. It takes a few seconds to respond to a change in RPM, not as quick as a wired tach.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Don't buy, save money

Delay about 2 minutes, engine operation is sometimes not registered. Other times when I'm stopping and idling and it still says I'm at 4000 rpm. Totally useless.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some defects

WORKS PERFECTLY! in spares

I have never written a review but felt compelled as the review I read was so poor and the touch works great. If I could say one bad thing, it would be that the guide/manual could have been a bit more English friendly. Otherwise I am very satisfied with the sensor!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Upgradeable

I think I might have a bad block

I installed a tachogenerator that uses a 12v signal to the coil of a 4 cylinder 4 stroke engine email the supplier to order to check if my installation is correct - the supplier replied by offering to add the sensor mentioned in the instructions.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are cons

Save money on electrics

Touch looks good. Pretty easy to install. Instructions are nonsense. While the installation of the engine is not possible. If it's normal at idle, then it's wrong at high RPM and vice versa. Lay very strong. Crashes when accelerating hard. The gauge lens gives off terrible glare in almost any light. I would not buy again for precise use in the car.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

suitable for 2-stroke outboards

The front panel is not very wide, so the hole has to be cut fairly accurately. The haptic looks good and looks well made from the outside. To get a correct RPM reading on my 2 stroke 2 cylinder outboard I connected one of the wires from the magneto to the rectifier to use as the signal wire to the tachometer and set the tachometer gear ratio to 4.7. A ratio that is too high, e.g. 20, will result in the needle not moving, and too low a ratio, e.g. B. 3, will cause the needle to be too sensitive.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • small parts
