Heavy duty and good value for money

I had to lay about 1000 feet per acre. Use a heavy-duty 1/2-inch impact drill to rotate about 60 feet to clear the low-voltage signal. I am happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

1000 feet of wire is good. The coil that comes with the kit is bad.

The cable itself is excellent. The roll it comes on is no. 1000 feet long at least. The plastic spool is stapled to the cardboard ends that hold the wire. It fell apart in transit resulting in 1000 feet of tangled cord that took me hours to untangle and I had to cut the wire multiple times to loosen it so I could install it.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • There are some downsides

Heavy Duty Impact Resistant Dog Fence

We're too old and shabby to dig our 5 acre front yard for underground wires. We simply attached our existing barbed wire fence posts and PVC pipe to gates and doors. No problems so far, 2 months old and our dog is happy that he can run free in the yard and we don't have to worry about him jumping over the fence. Used with the Sport Dog wired dog fence system.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Some Little Things

I would go for 12 or even 10 gauge if that would help.

We wanted to install our Extreme Dog Fence along the existing tubular rail fence to keep our dogs from approaching it (jumping, digging, growling) or approaching the driveway. I'm so glad I chose the thickest available because it's mostly above ground, tied to our fence and buried in the ground and under the rocks in our yard. I wish it was thicker but we'll see how well it holds up. The 20 gauge wire that came with the system sits unused in our garage. I predict it would fail within a fewโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Almost never

Ordered a 1500ft spool which arrived in perfect condition and was a full spool of wire. Installed in a new home and have been using PetSafe systems for many years. As this is for a 1.5 acre hood I went with something heavier (14ga instead of the 18ga previously used). The problem is that the wire has several breaks in the insulation - three so far, and I think there will be more upon closer inspection. . Of course, this was discovered at about 1300 feet and after most of the wire had alreadyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Minor issues

Worth the price

Nobody (at least as far as I know) likes to spend money unnecessarily. When I bought our fence, it came with "cheap" wire. When I needed more, I bought the next "level" thinking it would make my life easier and last longer (wire. Not my life, unfortunately!). The problem is. Even though it was better, the average wire quality still gave me heartache. It stretched easily, broke relatively easily, and a few times a year I had to spend hours monitoring 5 acres of my above-ground pet fence toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled
