Excellent docking cable to match accessories

We love these docking cables, use them on all our boats (canoes, kayaks etc) and they hold up well (we've had them for several years). . I would recommend getting the stainless steel version, they are easier to repair and last longer than the zinc versions (which will corrode after a few seasons). Stainless steel is an additional $3.

Pros
  • Tie down straps
Cons
  • Operating speed

The connector is ok, the rope has a small diameter

Should have paid more attention and in fact there was even a question with no answer, but that is due to the diameter of the rope itself. It could be 1/4 inch or a little more be. It's probably fine for sheltered or quiet anchorages, but a small line is awkward to use. The price is slightly higher than the cost of the hooks themselves, so the value isn't abominable. .

Cons
  • Piggy bank price

as shown Motorcycle & Powersports

I gave this 4 stars for two reasons. 1) We have several other lines, almost identical but different colors that have floats to keep them from sinking. We lost one of them in the lake. 2) The rope is a little cheaper (the hook seems to be of excellent quality) so its use is limited. Plus, it's a great affordable option. We use it to tie our floating mat to the boat. I wouldn't use it as a dockline for anything other than a jet ski and still doubt its long term storage for that purpose.
