Fisch Tenon Plug Cutter Cylindrical Review

I used it to make 120 2.75" mahogany and sapelle dowels in one day. Worked great! The drill was very light and satisfactory. Very clean cuts. Measured with vernier calipers, the inside measurement is exactly 0.75 inch.

I bought this tenoner a few months ago. I often use it to make wooden dowels from hardwood. During use, the tenon plug cutter does not experience any vibration at all, so the plugs produced are very precise. In addition, the product is still sharp after several months of use. This makes the price of a spike cutter knife higher than those I've used before, but it's more than worth the higher price.

I bought this because Lee Valley tools for this size were out of stock in Canada. It was significantly more money, but I needed a cork cutter for a project I had on short notice and couldn't wait until April for Lee Valley tools to go on sale. The purpose I bought this tool for was to reduce the size of the dowel from 5/8" to 1/2" on the ends. was originally very sharp but became dull from about the 20th cut, the last 10 cuts weren't very nice.
