Not as pictured

I just received the mat and the first thing I noticed was that it was green. I didn't want green. The picture is not green. It is white. change the picture It is not self-healing and is thinner than my other mat. But it's cheap enough and will hopefully last a while.

Great cutting mat (I use it to make foam trays for board games)

Great cutting mat (I have a second one). I use it to cut out the foam core for my board games. I cut it with an OLFA 1075449 XA-1 9mm rubber-handled fiberglass utility knife (I don't use it with a disc cutter). I use it quite often (thousands of cuts of 18" to 0.5" each). I would say my first one lasted about 1.5 years before needing replacement. I'm sure it would last a lot longer if I used a rotating blade (but they don't work with a foam core).

This is not a self-healing mat

It is advertised as self-healing. But after a few months of use, the mat gradually crumbles into pieces. I can see where all the cuts are in the carpet. It won't be long before it's useless. I bought it because I didn't want anything toxic. The carpet is made of hard, hardly bendable plastic. There may be some rubber involved in the manufacturing process, but it feels like thick, pliable plastic to me. Paper tends to stick to the surface and the numbers inside can be distracting. But so far it…

Very disappointed

Package arrived on time as expected. I love the design of the cutting mat. However, when using the mat, I noticed cuts on the mat that were recognizable. I continued to use the rug and what used to be flimsy became very deep which resulted in me ruining a few pieces of fabric I had cut out for the quilt. I was able to move the fabric to other areas of the rug and after a few cuts I noticed the same problem. I gave no star because I love the design of the rug and the markings on it. Fiskars…

Fiskar's Good Carpet

With one caveat. I wish there were little latches on the back to hold it on the table. My remedy, on the other hand, is glue dots on each corner. Keeps it in place but small dots of adhesive can be removed if needed. It is double sided and perfect for my use. It sits on my home office counter and I use it as a measuring aid when photographing odd-shaped items for my online store. The color is good but I wish it was more matte because there is a bit of shine. I am in the process of ordering a…
