Description of Fjallraven Dome Tent Pine Green

Mesh. Extra strong and stable four-season dome tent ideal for exposed conditions and challenging terrain. A perfect choice for advanced winter trips and for use above the treeline, yet still lightweight enough to be packed in a trekking backpack. The tent's three-pole construction makes the tent self-supporting and easy to move about until you find the perfect position. Guylines have reflective yarn woven in, and extra reflectors at the vents and doors make the tent visible in the darker months of the year. The tent pegs are also extra long and wide for good grip in difficult terrain. Two spacious vestibules and the generous ceiling height make tent life comfortable. Entrances from two sides mean you can use the lee-side entrance in stormy weather. A removable mesh shelf in the tent's ceiling provides convenient storage for gear. Ventilation is excellent and fully adjustable with large openings at different heights. All openings have fine mesh and can be covered with the flysheet on the outside if the tent is used in snow or sand.

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

The tent is very well thought out and cool. Its weight is not only a disadvantage, but also a continuation of its merits. You can use it in hot summer and winter, and in the forest, and in the mountains, and on open rocky shores. Ideal for boaters and skiers. In addition, for my taste, she is very beautiful.

Pros
  • 1) Large internal space, which is achieved thanks to the special geometry of the arcs. It is very comfortable to sit in the tent even for a tall person, there is a lot of space for things, very spacious vestibules. 2) Lack of a skirt and at the same time four-season due to the fact that the awning reaches the ground. 3) Excellent ventilation system. So far I have walked with her a little, but I have not seen any condensation on her in the mornings. The tent dries easily just with the entrances open 4) Self-construction. You can not use external braces and easily transfer the assembled tent to another place. 5) Easy installation due to the fact that the inner part is pre-attached to the awning. This allows you to put up and take down the tent in the rain without getting wet "inside". The tent can be assembled alone. 6) High "survivability" of the tent. If one of the arcs breaks, the tent may well stand on two. Slots are provided for an additional set of poles that increase the stability of the tent if necessary. The repair kit is very good - in addition to glue and pieces of fabric, there is a thread with a needle, a "sleeve" and an additional section for repairing the arc.
Cons
  • 1) Space price. I can’t imagine who in 2022 would dare to buy it at the price at which it is sold. I was very lucky and bought it at a 50% discount, but I suspect that such a generosity will be difficult to wait for. 2) At such a price, a footprint could also be included in the kit, but no, they offer to buy it separately and it also costs horse money (therefore, you can order an analogue on Ali, they are there). 3) The tent is very heavy by modern standards. This, however one may say, is a significant drawback for many. 4) Guys inside the tent. To be honest, I have not yet fully figured out how to properly attach them to the awning and the inner lining. Several plastic rings hang on the guy lines, but there is not a word in the instructions how exactly they should be attached. In addition, the cords themselves are black (unlike external guy lines) and you constantly trip over them when you forget. 5) Full assembly of the tent, with fastening of the inner lining, for the first time is quite long and for an inexperienced person it can take a long time. 6) When dismantling the tent, due to the fact that the awning is fastened with the inner tent, it is not very convenient to shake the motes out of it, and it is also quite difficult to shake off moisture from the outer tent without wetting the inner tent itself (therefore, dry it assembled)
