We bought a couple of kayaks and needed a way to keep them safe when not in use. They are perfect for that. You must use higher quality screws than those included in the kit. They hold our 50 lb kayaks and make it easy to fold them up when we come back from a trip.

I installed 2 of these in my 12ft fishing kayak and my wife's 10ft kayak. Very basic, just not a big fan of the screws that come with it. I would recommend getting 5 star screws from Lowes or Home Depot that won't crack. Also, they are very strong and do their job.

I really can't recommend them. Although when installed they are strong enough and will hold the kayak. When I first put my kayak on it the red rubber caps were stamped and I was left with bare metal that would damage the kayak. I had to go to the hardware store and buy some large 1" rubber feet.

I use them to store PVC pipe and longer trim pieces in the shed. They are pretty quick and easy to install. I also like that there is a protective cap on the ends. The only issue I had was that the supplied screws are a little soft and come off the heads fairly easily, but that's to be expected with most things you buy. I would recommend using better quality hardware store screws if you plan to reposition them later or if you really want to test the load limit.

I put them in my garage for two kayaks - 12ft (49lbs) and 17ft (57lbs). I appreciate the included hardware, but there's no way I would hang something that heavy without drilling through the studs. I also used my own screws just for peace of mind. The hook size is perfect for both the higher deck of my recreational kayak and the shorter sea kayak. A foam or rubber coating on the hook would be nice but not essential as it won't scratch anything. Good quality. There can be the slightest flex, 1/16
