My grandkids love their Garmin fitness/activity tracker!

I bought two of these for my granddaughters (5 1/2 and 7 1/2) and it really helps to keep track of their food, brush their teeth, do their homework etc ., don't mention that they enjoy seeing how many steps they take each day. I have a Fitbit so it's fun to compare them!

    • Stylish and modern design

    Fixed wrong steps

First of all, this is a 5 star product! I contacted the company because many (up to hundreds!) steps that are not taken are recorded with small hand movements. I think it's ok. It's close enough for us. The app is great and I can set goals and reminders. The best part is the pedometer. she is so motivated!

    • Easy to use

    Battery dead after 8 months

I bought two watches and one had a battery that died in less than 8 months. They were worn by two different children for the same length of time. My 9 year old son found this watch boring. She has never engaged in games on the phone. A 7 year old liked the watch for the first 6 months but then got tired too.

Easy to use for exercise and fitness

Definitely helped my 7 year old move independently again without yelling or oversteering. Reminders are easy to use and it takes me out of the villain role and gives her a little more independence to review her responsibilities. Because of this, she no longer turns on the technology at will until at least 60 minutes of MVA has been logged and her daily duties are complete.

    Pros
    • Great price
    Cons
    • Has flaws

tracking is good. Game is so-so

If the game site was more interesting it would definitely be more enticing to get my daughter to exercise. but the reward is small. 😩 it tracks really well but the only reason we got these special watchers is because there was an incentive to move them. After moving for an hour to get a new move in her game, she starts the guessing game. A bit like a fruit ninja. This means she can only play it twice, and then she can't play anything else until the next day when she moves for an hour. With all

    Perfect for active kids

My child loves running and jumping on walls all day. She is also currently taking swimming lessons and was keen to try a watch that she could use in the pool. Their previous watches weren't suitable for the pool and we had to constantly take them off before swimming lessons and remember to put them back on afterwards. These watches are great. It tells her the time, tells her the date, lets you set timers for different lengths (she loves that feature) and the Frozen game she can play if she's…

Helps to move! Bought for an adult.

I like it! I bought this for myself (34 but a big nerd) because I'm sedentary at work and the red trail helps me remember to get up and move. It's great because it doesn't count for things like going to the bathroom, but I have to move more vigorously for the streak to go away. I have fairly small wrists and I thought kids would fit just fine and they really do. I actually have a few styles left so I think they will fit most adults too. The timer is great too as I use it regularly to keep track

    Excellent shockproof children's watch

My daughter prefers 'free'. She's 10 and we just upgraded her to a buckle. Even within the narrowest framework, it is free. She is very small and long-boned. Her 8-year-old cousin couldn't wear the jumpsuit and it ended up going to his 6-year-old nephew. She loves the Frozen theme and with a ton of points, she read half of the story in day one. The rest of the app doesn't have many changes compared to Jr and Jr2. She likes colors, not just a black and white display. There are more things to…
