So far it's useless.

Not very good yet. Updated last night. Tonight says it needs to be updated again. Pair with your phone via Bluetooth in the Garmin Drive app. The phone knows I'm in Pennsylvania, Garmin says I'm in Miami Beach. I only have 30 days to come back, so it's better to get better soon.

Great Garmin for travelers!

Great product! Easy to program, easy to follow. Took us safely to our destination and back to our RV. Our instructions were accurate. We have a 40ft RV that could easily travel over roads, under bridges and tunnels with our height or width.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Expandable

Expensive but worth it!

This is an expensive GPS but I think it's worth it. The voice recognition is amazing, all you have to do is say where you want to go. Enter the size of your RV and suitable roads will be recommended to get you to your destination. The big screen is easy to see and much better than a phone.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Best Garmin but good for sports and portable GPS

Great display. Good sound. Moved his trailer from Connecticut to South Dakota. The indicators are very useful for stopovers on your route. Soon real-time help for every need. I couldn't live without her after that. It's so amazing. Cell phone signal lost. Not this one. Never missed a beat. I bought a ram mounting system for this. Also a Ford bracket from BUILTRIGHT INDUSTRIES. The best facility ever.

Car charger not compatible with GPS

GPS rating 4.5 but customer service and extras 1 so I have to give a 3 overall. The GPS is really good. Big screen, lots of useful information. The biggest complaint I have is that the charge doesn't last very long, which isn't a problem since you can use the GPS while it's plugged in. The problem is that the car charger they sent us didn't fit the GPS connector and the USP connection sent was so short I had to hold the plug to charge and I couldn't mount it on the dash. Luckily I had a cellโ€ฆ

Good GPS BUT. . .

I like the big screen, the machine speaks clearly and usually names the streets correctly. It's also good at alerting you when you're approaching a school crossing, railroad crossing, or lowering the speed limit. It seems to work well as a GPS, but there are a few downsides: - Doesn't "learn". As a test, I used it to commute to and from work. Always the same route, about eight miles. The RV-890 always takes me across the interstate and through town, while the most direct route is through townโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Interesting from GPS, viewfinder & accessories

We took our first trip with a Garmin 8 inch GPS. We planned a four-day trip through the Texas hill country. On the first day we filled the van with gas and turned on the GPS. simple indicator. We were familiar with the nearest area and started wondering how to get there. We paid five hundred dollars for this thing, so we assumed she must know what she was doing. An hour later we passed the same gas station where we filled up. We knew the way to the destination, so we decided to drive a bit andโ€ฆ

All in all a great purchase

I bought this to help with our 38ft RV. So far this has been hit or miss. First hits: The screen is gorgeous. The touch screen works perfectly. Colors are bright and easy to customize for a distraction-free night ride. Oral instructions are pleasant and helpful. And the voice isn't the traditional robot voice that others have. It has many options that I like. You can choose which data points you see on the screen. My favorite story is about what will happen on the next exit. Missing: Thisโ€ฆ
