Great but straps need improvement

Bought two, works great. Belts are junk. Lasts less than a year before falling apart. Got a replacement stamp for $10 each. Replacement belt Almost a year old and without wear.

Easy pairing and long battery life

We have been using these collars for over five years now. Distance works great on them and pairs easily. Dogs are constantly in the water and have no problems. The replacement collar comes with an extra cable so I can now charge both collars and the remote at the same time. Batteries still work great after all these years. Garmin is the way to go!

Pros
  • One year trial

great way to give your dog some freedom

We have beagle dogs as pets and these collars are lifesavers. We are fortunate to live in a semi rural area so we can take our dogs for long off leash walks. Having electronic leashes gives us freedom, allows them to walk and have some freedom. We've worked hard on training and we only really need collars when they get a smell and 99% of the time a sound or vibration is all you need. I know many people object to "cruelty" because it would be more cruel to our dogs to confine them to a 6 footโ€ฆ

  • Vulgarity

Oh my god I wish I had bought this system years ago! I have several dogs in a large yard that is not fenced. For years I have struggled to train dogs where there is a limit and prosecute dogs who have misbehaved. Even the most well-behaved dog is tempted to chase after squirrels or to lure people who call them out of those confines. My yard is too big to put an underground wire, it would be expensive to protect the territory I also want to give them. This remote fixed EVERYTHING! My dogsโ€ฆ

Not as well made as Tri-Tronics

First of all I like the performance of this collar. "Phase" is a fantastic feature! The ability to remotely turn on the headlight is great when searching for your furry little one at night. The audible sound is also better than the previous Tri-Tronics because it's much easier to tell the collar is actually on and working. It used to be that you had to put your ear all the way to the collar to hear it, even though the dog could easily hear it. Also, the collar is cheap and not as durable as the
