All I need for reliable 4G home internet

Good 4G routers can be found, especially at a reasonable price. Either their price is astronomically high, or the components used are complete junk. But GL.iNet got it right! The Wi-Fi signal is strong and works even in large houses. The installation backend is very easy to use and has MANY features and functions. And it's so small and portable. My truck has an outlet so I can take it with me when I travel. Five stars!

Pros
  • Positive feedback only
Cons
  • No form required

No LTE on AT&T 3G only

I purchased this product based on the AT&T certification it provided. I bought a SIM card and installed it in a modem, I could only receive 3G services. I spoke to AT&T, they were fine, so I contacted GL support. They were pretty quick to respond and offered suggestions with no help. I then replied to Alfie in GL Support, after which there was no further reply from GL. I asked several times what was going on and no answer. Very bad customer service. If you are an AT&T customer I would stay away

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Long wait

Great travel router for trucks, vans and small households

Get the GL-X750V2. Version 2 is much better. Not the most compact with long antennas, but it works. Install the luci-app-mwan3 package and you can prioritize Ethernet, USB tethering/tethering or cellular for failover. , Google Fi and ATTSMB File Share for LanOpenVPN integrated into the wall mount (requires separate purchase) Cons Slow loading GUI clicks can take two apples to actually go through large antennas! Only fast ethernet and no gigabit ethernet Despite the disadvantages, it's still a…

Couldn't be more disappointing.

I've had several Glinet products and they all have their little quirks so I didn't expect perfection from this purchase but I expected it to work. there was nothing but disappointment about it. Repetition, connecting via USB and using a 4G SIM card were all terrible. I bought it to comfortably work off-road in my van and instead needed to tether to my iPhone to get something done. Interface, the physical hardware is not good, and my male antenna mount keeps receding and lost. It gets terribly…

Not enough default memory and not user friendly

I had to buy this modem to use the Traveldate services. I only had trouble installing and running file and media sharing due to memory issues. I installed a 2GB SIM card and thought it would be an easy fix, but NO! You need to know how to write the code to use the SIM card. I've followed all the settings and advice found on their forum and nothing seems to work. I contacted support and they sent me to do it. Don't understand it if you don't know how to program1. Edit this file as follows…

  • Easy to read control panel

Didn't expect that

The first router didn't work for me, it didn't recognize the T-Mobile SIM card. I spent about 3 hours with T-Mobile support only to find that the SIM card was fine, so it was the router. Sent it back, got a replacement, put in the SIM card and it worked right away! Results: In a very congested area (Port of Everett, WA, Marina), I experience a 7 Mbps slowdown. My boat is surrounded by thousands of other large boats (it's the largest marina on the west coast) so the speed is quite normal…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

If you use the right media, this is a good device.

I bought this after seeing a YouTube video where the content creator called it his "new favorite router". After a bit of research and the like, I decided to give it a try. I've been traveling the Midwest and needed something compact, yet easy to use, and I thought this fitted the bill. Then I actually tried to use it. First let me say that none of my problems were directly caused by this router, it was the carriers. First I tried using Cricket's wireless connection. I already had a 100GB data…
