Good product. This in itself is not a problem but they come with 6 hooks not 5 as shown in the picture. I put them in snow chains and they work as expected. This is a very durable cable. It was a lot harder than I expected to snap the hooks onto the chains because the rubber is very strong. They will definitely keep your chain in place. Works and some snow chains (cheaper $30) might benefit from using one. Why some chains don't need this doesn't make sense since cheaper wire rope chains don't have a tensioner. In fact, my chains that are over 12 years old actually advise buying a pair of tensioners (not included!). But before use, you need to do the following: take the pliers and bend the rubber side of the hook more tightly so that it does not fall off. It's not a quality tire but it will do the job. Since my regulator was already broken, I went through it and tried to pull it to break it again. This time I pulled it really hard and it didn't break!
