Like the hard drive, but supported?

I was replacing my Seagate 2TB hard drive when the temperature started to climb to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. This new WD drive operates reliably at 87 degrees Fahrenheit. and all the necessary details. What I received was a six line pamphlet explaining the obvious for installation and four screws. For software, you will be directed to their website. So don't pay the extra $30 for a kit; Buy a package of barebones. Also, I couldn't get my Win7 to recognize the WD drive being used as the second…

At the moment my rating is 5 stars. I bought them instead of the red ones mainly because of the price. I have dealt with WD before and know that if they replace your drive under warranty because you just received a brand new drive, your warranty will be extended. If you ship your drive back after replacing it three times, you can request a better drive. I use that to my advantage. Yes, these discs only come with a 1 year warranty, while the blue and red come with a 3 year warranty and the black

Excellent storage disk

Looking at some of the previous reviews, it seems that some people do not understand the meaning of the Green series. It is designed for low performance and does not offer the highest possible speeds. Personally I wouldn't use them as a main drive (I have an SSD but would have used the Black series before) but as drives they work great! I still get consistent transfer speeds, but it's still slower than other Black series drives on the computer (which is to be expected). I've always been a fan…

2TB Western Digital SATA Hard Drive

As a photographer, I'm always looking for more space to store my images. But not just any repository. I need reliable hard drives. I found Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATA II 3.5" drives on sale at Revain so I ordered 2 of them. These are not the first Western Digital drives in my computer, in fact all 6 hard drives in my computer are Western Digital! The reason is simple, "reliability". I've found Western Digital drives to be very reliable over the years, only once have I received a…

That works first. the best data storage

In the last month I've had 3 WD hard drives fail, all while the computer was on. They just go away and when I restart my computer I can't get past the BIOS or boot into Windows. I had to remove them. Recover as much data as possible as they are all listed as invalid when I put them on external drives. WD drives from 2006 (500GB), 2007 (640GB) and now 2008 (750GB). I loved WD drives so my PC only had WD drives. My computer still has 2 WD 1TB drives, green and black, that I've gotten over the…

The computer freezes when it starts spinning, otherwise it works fine.

I use an SSD as the primary OS drive. I wanted to use this WD Green as a secondary drive, but every time it wakes up from sleep, you can't do anything on your computer while it starts spinning. I understand it's just to save power, but it started spinning at odd times, e.g. B. when Windows is checking for updates. I got fed up with it and removed it from the system. I put it in a case and used it as an external drive and it works great. If it was just a delay reading the data on the disk I…
