I love my new HEPA filters. They are washable and durable. I had my original filter which I've washed off and on over the years (12 years), that's a long time. I worried much later about buying new ones since it was my first time buying my vacuum that the quality of the filter wouldn't be what I was used to. I bought this filter a year ago and it fits well. This year the filter came with a rigid flange at the bottom, whereas previously it had a flexible flange. As a result, the other end protrudes from the filter holder, the lid does not fit, so no seal.
