Terrible Handle, Stay Away!

When I tried this, the handle was poorly designed and uncomfortable to use. I had to constantly readjust my grip and it caused a lot of hand fatigue. While it may be advertised as an industrial and scientific product, it did not meet my expectations.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Poor design, uncomfortable grip.

Cuts like a madman in finishing materials

Very sharp hard file. Cuts great, but very rough. When used to sharpen tools, one cut can give you plenty of sawdust to clean up the filing marks left by that rough tool. But in terms of faster metal removal, it cannot be compared with it.

Pros
  • Abrasives and finishing materials
Cons
  • No automatic

High quality file, comfortable grip and fast steel removal.

I bought a 12 inch heavy duty ax file for rough edges and it seems to be holding up well. Ever since my favorite file, the Nicholson Black Diamond, disappeared from the US (files made in Mexico suck), I've needed a quality alternative, and for now, at least, this seems like a viable option. The cuts and turns of the bleed mark the area to be sharpened very well. The handle is possibly the most comfortable I've ever used. I love the rough file so much I just ordered a 12" 'Second Cut' file to go

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • small items
