They're really easy to set up. They are a long, thin and light LED light source for photography. They have a dial to adjust the brightness and it gets very bright given the size of the lights. These tubes are good for the home studio and as a safety net for professional work, but don't rely on them too much. There is a delay in turning the light on and off. It takes about 2-3 seconds to fully turn on or off. After turning off, it dims down to about 1% and turns off completely after about 2-3 seconds. If you dim too fast, it will also respond slowly. I believe there is a factory that makes millions of dollars of racks and sells them for a dollar. I've had these identical coasters in so many different sets and I do the same thing to all of them - throw them away. I keep the knobs and screws and have a full drawer.
