This works great if you have the space for it. My dashboard above the radio didn't slide out far enough to use it. There was a part in front of my steering wheel, but it wasn't ideal for me because I couldn't see my phone well enough. I'd like to keep this, but it doesn't work for my situation. I really like this phone holder. I have a 2018 Acura RDX and tried the cup holder mount. It was too difficult to use. So I tried this one instead. I actually set it up to sit right over the current car map screen. Now when I want to use the navigation, I just mount my phone with this mount and get access to the Google Maps navigation instead of the built-in navigation. Based on the great reviews I was excited to try this mount. I've never been a fan of AC vent mounts, so this mount seemed like the perfect fit for me. I opened up the mount and everything looked fine until I tried installing it on my car. The clasp doesn't seem to be tight enough, the mount falls off completely. The part that holds the phone seems to hold it firmly in place. It would be ideal if the shutter actually worked. Extremely disappointed 😞 Maybe I just got a defective product?
