I ordered one of these and liked it so much I ordered another one so I could have a matching pair. This stand is heavy, well made and doesn't wobble at all. The finishes are brilliant and look great on our kitchen island. They stand up to hot pans and pots with no problem and the surface still looks like new.

Works great. I have my hot oiler on and haven't had any problems yet. I used to have bamboo ones and while I liked their style more, the wood always wore out or cracked if I left them in the sink for too long. There's no chance of that happening with this cast iron, so it's PERFECT. And the rooster reminds me of something that might have been in my grandmother's kitchen in Tennessee. :)

I bought two of these bases to match the two old rooster bases I already had. I put them on the burners of my stove (instead of the burner caps). I bought these because I wanted a semi-matching stand for each burner. I drew them myself because I wanted them to be the same color as my original pair.
