Very good candles but should be covered if used outdoors. Water collects at the top of the candle and drains into the device. Water enters and soaks the electronics and battery compartment.

I returned them for two reasons. Revain AA batteries were almost impossible to insert or remove from the battery compartment, but the problem was that they were unacceptably weak. The description mentions a bright candle, similar to light output, which of course is not the case. You are weaker than any candle I have ever lit.

The glow of these candles is very nice. Most candles only glow at the top while glowing throughout the candle. That gives great warmth. But I like that they're waterproof and it rains a lot in Florida, so they've already proven themselves. The size is good and I like that I don't have to use the remote to turn on the timer.

After a quick shower, water got into both candles and the battery compartment rusted and corroded. I have dozens of outdoor candles and these are the only ones that have been water damaged. Outdoor candles that cannot withstand the weather are not suitable for outdoor use. Do not use these candles outdoors. If you plan to use them indoors, I would suggest trying another option as they are aesthetically inadequate for indoor use.

The candles arrived in perfect condition and were very carefully packaged and protected during transit. I use them outdoors on my back deck and they create a nice atmosphere at night. The only thing I wasn't prepared for was how light they are. The previous artificial candles I have had were much heavier and more like wax and could easily stand on a tablecloth or in a light wind. I bought these used from the seller but he said they were in "like new" condition. But that's not the case. One of the spark plugs showed clear signs of wear. Scuffs and dents (and it's not wax).
