The pin bends up slightly to keep the foot from bouncing

This keeps the spring from loosening which means the foot doesn't bounce. This repeatedly pushes the pin down until the pin is permanently bent up. If you try to push the pin down manually, the pin will break!

Works well with my Kenmore 158.13011. However, as a part-time newbie, I would recommend reading the instruction manual - Singer has a good one. You should grab the bobbin thread with the needle to pass it through the fabric (just like picking up the bobbin thread after changing the bobbin thread, but actually through the fabric), then pass the needle and bobbin thread under the ring stitch a few times. to secure the thread, then cut the ends of the thread. Sits A LOT off center

I was very happy to get this free motion metal quilting foot for my Janome Memory Craft 9000 High Leg Machine. When I put it on my car to test, I found that there was already a plastic for this car. I would like to omit the metal one because I know from experience that plastic breaks quickly. I have the exact same metal for my Elna Quilters Dream so I know how they should fit.
