Don't buy this filter

I don't even believe these are Honeywell carbon filters. As you can see from my photos, this Honeywell filter has many thin areas that you can see through. This leaves the HEPA filter open to larger particles and debris, shortening its lifespan. Worst quality I've ever seen. Don't buy it. I recommend the Fette brand carbon filters available here at Revain. My photo of the Fette filter shows how dense and even it is like a carbon filter should be. Inaccurate filter replacement

I was expecting an accurate filter replacement that came with my Honeywell HPA200 True HEPA Allergen Eliminator. This product is a filter media that needs to be cut to the right size for your machine. However, I was able to cut it into 4 replacement filters. The filter material is not as thick as the original filter. It's not as rigid as the original so it will tip over when you try to install it. It also has some fairly thin areas that I don't think would filter out dust particles very…

Expensive filters that don't fit. Not effective against odors.

Not very impressed with this filter. Honeywell takes a one-size-fits-all approach to their pre-filters that just doesn't work. I found myself measuring, tracing, cutting, cursing, cutting and finally sticking pieces of filter into empty spaces to make it work before cursing some more. There is always a lot of rubbish that gets thrown away. Coal dust is a problem. The template that comes with the pre-filter is practically useless. Don't buy Honeywell's HRF-AP1, HRF-APP1 or 38002, buy thicker, better, less dusty universal pre-filters.

I do not recommend Honeywell brands HRF-AP1, HRF-APP1 or 38002 because: (1) HRF-AP1, HRF-APP1 or 38002 pre-filters (all made in Mexico) are thinner and thinner much worse, better quality than the original pre-filter that comes with the air purifier or the regular ones I've made in the US, Korea or China before. The 38002 pre-filter has basically the same quality, thickness and porosity as the HRF-AP1 pre-filter, apart from a higher price. I suspect that HRF-AP1 and 38002 are the same product…

Don't waste your money on this filter!

I bought a Honeywell HPA300 air filter and immediately bought a replacement filter. According to APKs. After 6-7 months of use, the pre-filter indicator light came on. The pre-filter was covered in dust so I threw it away and opened up the replacement filter box to cut out and put in a new filter. I noticed the poor quality of the replacement filter. The original was about 1/4 inch thick and had the consistency of THICK material. The new quality was more like a cheap air conditioning filter. I…
