Simple controls (no stupid switches). The monitor is set to Game1 to the right of the box. I'll just have to test 165 and 144Hz to see which looks better. I chose 144Hz. Big plus for me: No built-in speakers! You know how your sound is already set up with your desktop speakers or headphones. It's anything you want. It's hard to find a gaming monitor without those pesky speakers that also install drivers. Two thumbs up HP for creating this beauty!

I used to use a dual monitor and laptop for work until I bought this widescreen monitor. Now I can organize my applications and work on a large monitor. I don't think I can ever go back to my old way of working. So much more efficient! Excellent picture quality and easy settings.

A frequently overlooked factor in monitors is the menu system. It comes with a pre-configured fast input selector to switch from HDMI to DP. Very useful for multiple systems. The picture is fantastic and this 165Hz resolution/size for $430 is a great deal. The only thing that could add value to this monitor is the built in hub USB 3. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another if needed. I believe as soon as rumors about this monitor become known, they will quickly disappear.

I love this monitor but somehow it resets the brightness to 60 and color mode for gaming every day. I didn't understand anything, I asked for an exchange and there the same thing happens EDIT: I FOUND A SOLUTION TO RESET THE SETTINGS MYSELF. When you plug this monitor in, it silently installs HP Games' Omen software (yes, I couldn't believe it either) and forces a reset because of it, so just uninstall the app and it should fix it.

The colors look fantastic. The picture is super clear and sharp. This is where the IPS display really shines. What about 165Hz? What's not to like?! I had a curved Ultra-Wide and the fact that it's not curved doesn't bother me at all. I absolutely love it.
