It fits on my dash and keeps my phone where I can see the maps. It's so useful for road trips. I'm impressed with how well it stays in place even when riding over rough roads. When I don't need it, I can just clip it to my visor so it's out of the way. This is one of the best car phone mount designs I have found.

I bought an IKOPO car phone holder to use my iPhone for direction finding. It holds the phone very securely, the phone can be connected to the charging cable, it is easy to install and remove. There is no adhesive, so moving the mount won't leave a sticky residue. I've set it to be visible at a glance while driving, but doesn't interfere with the view ahead. The sun hits one of the suction cup mounts I live in rendering them unusable and the air vent mounts seem too flimsy to hold my phone really well.
