I really like this lantern on a chain. It looks great in our old house. The electrician installed in no time. The pull chain is long but he shortened it to the length we needed. I can highly recommend this lamp.

there was no switch in the lamp, good ones are hard to find. It fits the spotlight perfectly, close to the ceiling and looks very nice with lots of bright light.

I had to hire an electrician for the installation but I rewired the house anyway. Gives a beautiful look to a rustic 17th century farmhouse. We have removed the ceiling to reveal the wooden beams and these fixtures recreate the look of yesteryear.

Bought for a closet and utility room in the house. I'm not sure if they're worth the price, but I wanted something better than the plain $4 white lamp socket you get at the hardware store. It's easy to install yourself in about ten minutes or less and does what it's designed to do. You can of course use slightly more expensive Edison bulbs if you want a vintage look, but if you only use them in a closet like I am you can see that standard bulbs are a good fit.
