Good fuse holder - car AV installation

Good fuse holder. Great that there are screws holding the lid in place, lots of fuse holders snap and vibrate.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Good big fuse and hard plastic for the price

Easy to assemble 2 and 4 gauge wires. The block is not gold plated, just the screws. Similar in size to the Rockford Fosgate but fully gold plated and more expensive. Will buy again for a good price and stable.

  • Great range

TOO BEAUTIFUL TO HIDE UNDER THE HOOD

Just received yesterday and not yet installed. I'm writing this review because it looks and feels like it's worth a hundred bucks. Heavy, shiny, golden, beautiful case. I feel like it should be framed rather than mounted next to the engine. I will post more after installation.

The fuse supplied with this socket is not suitable for continuous high-current applications because the internal resistance is too high. 200A on a 250A fuse. I measured a 120mV drop which is an amazing 0.125*200=24W of heat dissipation. If this current were drawn for several hours and, as in my case, the fuse was installed in my van's engine compartment, the plastic housing would begin to melt. Recommendation: Do not use this fuse and socket to charge inverters or batteries. applications. If a…

King of ANL on fuse holders

This thing is HUGE seriously I took it out of the box and once in my hands it felt so heavy. At first I didn't know what to do with it. this and I was a little scared. I really had no idea where exactly I would place a block that size in my bay. I tried bypassing the intake but was sure it would choke the airflow too much, then tried side mounting it but it was too thick to fit properly. In the end I decided I needed to make a small table to secure it in place. With a little effort and…

Most users rate this product well. He has many good qualities. O-rings fit 0 or 4 gauge wire. It has o-rings which should make it dustproof. The lid is screwed, which also helps to protect against dust. But several users have posted photos of them melting. I think I know the problem. The manufacturer says "high temp" plastic but doesn't say what it is. But I think it's acrylic. And it's not a very high temperature. One user calculated that at 200 amps the fuse would draw 24 watts. But this user
