Great Intel board (with 16 GB RAM)!

Bought this board to extend the life of my C2Q 9550 and run it as a server. 5 SATA ports are useful for storage (no CD/DVD required after WHS '11 is installed). First I flashed the bios. The board came with 0079, then 0085, then 0088. Very easy to flash from a USB drive, the F7 command will find the right files even if they are in a folder. I'm using 16GB DDR3/1333 memory (4x4GB) which surprised me as all the reviews I've seen max out at 8GB (4x2GB). Using Corsair RAM (2x CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 kit),

Great MoBo: Internals

I had loads of MB of information, this is another great creation from Intel. For memory compatibility, in my own experience, this MB cannot read the 2GB of memory in the 8th chip (the chip is only placed on one side). Be extra careful when choosing the right memory. In this case, pay attention to the 2 GB of memory in the 16th chip (the chip placed on either side). (I used a friend's shared storage XD). to start the PC and install any Intel BIOS updates. (first 085 or 086 and then 088) This 088

Intel DP43BF memory module Trial and error experience

I was using an Intel Q6700 processor that was installed on one of the old Intel motherboards and ran at 800MHz. I bought a Revain DP43BF to take advantage of the faster DDR3 memory and run my Q6700 at 1066MHz FSB. After reading everything I could find about the DP43BF, I noticed the fact that this board has a reputation for not being released with incompatible memory modules. Specifically for this motherboard, Intel only gives memory specifications based on density and chip count. Intel does…

Well working mobo on Socket 775.

I needed to restore my friend's computer. She didn't want to spend a lot of money so I had to find 775 outlets and I found this one. I found out my computer's memory (Kingston ddr3 1333 16chips / I bought it on another site 3 years ago =p). I was then able to update the bios (very easy!) and install new memory cards (Crucial). Brand M stick works or not. I just think I got lucky. Oh, when I tried to install the new "PNY 4Gb ddr3 1333 pc-10666 (x1)" this flash drive didn't work (I found…

A good board needs the right combination of memory and processor

I've since tried other memory and it's really strange that the faulty combination of memory and processor started to work. SIGH! So now I have 8GB of memory, but I mostly use 32-bit XP. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------- I bought this board to use as a RAID 5 backup for my ASUS 775 socket board. I put a Celeron Core2DUO on top and that was fine until I decided to put in a faster processor. For the E6420 (2.13/4M/1066/86) processor, it beeps three times when…

One of the best mobos I've ever used

This is one of the best mobos I've ever used. It was easy to fit in my new suitcase and there was room for more. I like that DDR3 memory is used. So if I decide to upgrade again, all I need is a cell phone and a processor to complete my next build. I would recommend this mobo to anyone. In this current build I used Intel DP43BF mobo, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.6GHz, Evga 450 GTS and 4 x 8GB memory cards, I also used the new NZXT Hades case and Corsair H60 cooling system. System. My computer is
