Here's the thing. These shelves are not on display. They are in a closet in our home office. They hold many books very well. But they're not strong enough for a child's room, and they're not as pretty or well-made. They're cheaply made. But for our use they are perfect! Would definitely buy again.

This item is easy to assemble, please be patient as the holes in the boards may get narrow as you screw in the nail. This item is slightly smaller than the photos, but the measurements are accurate. This shelf is a little smaller than expected but for the price it's not bad at all. I left out the bottom shelf and back because I thought it would look better that way. The build wasn't bad at all. I would recommend using a drill to screw the shelves to the sides. I used a screwdriver, it took some time and effort to get them all the way in. They give you stickers to cover the screw holes.
